Chimes

These sounds were probably my highlight from recording. I tried to avoid having wind interfere, so I shielded the mics while recording the chimes. After about 4 hours of walking around freezing, this was exactly what I wanted to hear, the wind creating its own song. The ambiguity of this recording was that I wanted to pick up the chimes exclusively because I was exhausted of all the engine roars and typical city noises I had been encountering, but by the end of the clip I had much, much more going on than what I had intended that I realized there was an ensemble building up, created by the wind. This is life in a big city, these are the sounds that are omnipresent. Play Sound
